ACRLog Raves About The Collective

I realize it’s actually a challenge to fully describe the Collective experience. I suppose all I can say is, if you’re interested in a conference that is a coming together of the coolest and most cutting edge librarians planned by a team of librarians who thought through every detail from start to finish, I highly recommend the Collective.

We were excited to read this lovely praise for The Collective in ACRLog, a blog by and for academic and research librarians. Thanks for the rave review, Mollie Peuler, eLearning Librarian at Central Piedmont Community College!

Remembering Virginia Tech, 10 Years Later

It's hard to believe it's been 10 years since the shooting at Virginia Tech. I've been hesitant to speak to media about the anniversary because of all the ways that coverage can go wrong (e.g. exploiting victims, drawing attention to shooters, etc.), but I agreed to this front page story and was thankful that reporter Rachel Ohm focused on The Story of the Stuff, what it means to process grief, and violence prevention efforts.
