I was recently interviewed by the Newtown Bee, the local newspaper for Newtown, Connecticut, about the origin behind the THE STORY OF THE STUFF and the experience of filming following the Sandy Hook School tragedy.
Check out the full interview and article here.
Todd Steed recently interviewed me alongside Paul Harrill, the writer/director of Something, Anything, about our experience of making a critically-acclaimed feature-length film in Knoxville, Tennessee for Knoxville Public Radio. The story can be downloaded from the Changing Course podcast on iTunes or streamed from WUOT radio in two parts:
The Story of the Stuff, an immersive web documentary about condolences sent following public tragedies, was published online on April 16--the eighth anniversary of the Virginia Tech campus shooting, which was an impetus for the project.
The main project site has been published, but I'm continuing to develop education and outreach materials over the summer with funds raised through an on-going IndieGoGo campaign.
To read more about the origin of this project and its launch, read this article and interview in the Newtown Bee or listen to this story from Virginia Public Radio.
